Spring/Summer - 2010 ROCKPARK
This program has a Camp atmosphere in that it runs weekly deep into the fall and is designed for students that have completed the Introduction to Kayaking class or have equivalent experience. The workshops are run on Wednesday's and Sunday's. Each workshop is two hours long with a primary focus on Safety while learning how to control your kayak. You will be introducted to todays techniques, concepts and procedures used by the best paddlers in the Country. Your paddling strokes, boat control and comfort will show significent progress. Your Roll will improve. This workshop is meant to be fun. Take your time, learn at your own pace. You will never be asked to perform a task you are not ready for. The weekly "Skill Development Workshops" are run at the Rochester Canoe and Kayak Park. During the Summer optional River trips, that are suited to your present skill level, will be offered. Upon completion of your first season of paddling you will be comfortable in class II Whitewater.
